Struts

I do not have a brand preference. While I can be as opinionated as others as to what might be the best, be honest, the company is no longer in business, the car is 14 years old and just finding the doggon things at a reasonable price might be the ticket. While the local auto parts store may give me a choice, it may have only one brand in stock that fits the car and if that is the case, that is the one I choose.

Well I found that to be the case napa had there house brand at a ok price oreillys and auto zone had Monroe at a higher price. Found price geek.com had the Monroe's cheaper then all the rest and amazon beat them all. Just had to wait a few days to get them here. But for almost half the price I could wait.

KYB's are a perfect replacement.....and in the last 22 years I have never heard anyone on any forum say they have had a problem with them on a S series. I have heard many say the Monroe strut mounts for S series Saturns are junk.

I can concur that the strut mounts from Monroe are crap. I had to replace the ones I replaced on my Grand Caravan. As far as the struts go, I had one Monroe go bad too. I found quick struts at rockauto and bought them. One of them squeeks. I gave up and just live with the squeek.
