Default Stalls when cold

I just bought a 1999 sc2 rebuilt the engine because it 266000 miles on it and broke the timing chain. Now unless I let it warm up for about 10 min. When I give it gas it tries to stall. After it warms up it runs just fine. Looking for ideas as what it could be.

Sounds like either the timing is slightly off, or the ECTS (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) has gone bad. Based on age, I'd replace the ECTS and it's associated electrical connector
