Default OBD Scanning

2002 SC1 here..., OK, I have a ELM327 scanner, works great on all other cars, but when I try on my Saturn it fails to read ECM info. Is it due to the ECM having some odd kind of protocol that torque doesn't support? Or, is there an issue with my OBD port.. (I am getting power to it btw, and body fuse was not popped) anyone have any ideas?

take it to autozone or similar and let them try to read the codes (for free). If they can, it's not the port, if they can't than it may be a protocol issue w the scanner
