Using Platinum plugs is not recommended, those made by anyone. The engine electronics were designed around the way regular spark plugs function and the use of them have been known to cause false error codes. I use Champions just because I prefer to, but it could be I have been lucky as I have had no problems, there is no reason not to use the factory recommended NGK spark plugs.
