As mentioned above somewhere, my wife did all of the steady hands detail work because I have a tremor in my left hand and I'm developing one in my brain. There's no way I could have gotten it anywhere that close. Honestly, it took me 9 months to get up the nerve to execute this on the doors as it's a one shot deal. You either get it or you don't. There's a reason the pictures are from the distance they are. But it serves its purpose and since the door panels are installed, I no longer have to roll the window down I'm open the door from the outside. That one gets Great looks in parking lots of expensive stores. Especially when I am wearing my blaze orange bandana like a thug

 

derf, I know what your going thru and feel a kinship. I will be reaching that magical age of 80 in 3 weeks. I'm just not as quick or agile as I was in my glory days. Throw in occasional bouts of CRS syndrome makes for a fun day fixing things. It took me almost a year to swap engines from a doner 97 SC2 into my 98 SC2. I may have been able to shave about a month off that if I could subtract the time wasted looking for a tool i just had in my hand 5 minutes before. I did get some new amber fog lights in the SC the other day and only touched the hot soldering iron twice with bare skin.
