Default Coolant issue HELP!!!

I've been experiencing a issue with my girl friends 2001 SC2.. It drinks coolant like no other can maybe drive an HR if that and it will be low on coolant and need more added. I've replaced the water pump already and switched the cap. There is no antifreeze leaking out anywhere I've checked everything. There's nothing in the oil and there's nothing milky in the radiator or over flow. I am at a loss it's not leaking anything but it's just drinking it like crazy! Anyone have this issue before? What could it be? It's been like this for almost a year btw it's just a cheap $500 car she purchased for her first vehicle. Thanks 😁

It is going somewhere so maybe a cracked head and it is going out the exhaust. SC 2 is a sweet car and might be worth fixing if it is a nice car and not rusty underneath. You may need to rent a cooling system pressure checker. It pumps air into the system with the engine not running so you can locate leaks.

Are you seeing any white smoke out the tailpipe?
Does the exhaust smell sickly sweet?
Is the service engine soon light on?
Do you see any bubbles being produced in the reservoir when the engine is running?

The DOHCs are not known for cracking heads, but if the engine has been repeatedly and mercilessly overheated by the previous owner (I'm assuming you got the car this way), then a warped or cracked head is indeed likely.

It might sound stupid, but check the hose clamps on the radiator and heater hoses. A loose hose clamp can drive you nuts. You might also want to do what Andy suggested and pay particular attention to the radiator. Plastic tanks and seams often crack and leak under pressure.
