I have a 01 sc2 I just recently purchased. I believe I am in need of a a/c head unit? the ***** that change from cold to hot and from floor to defrost etc are really hard to turn and dont change well. any info would be greatly appreciated.

Check that nothing is obstructing the cables.

I did My friend works for saturn here and he said that I needed to replace it.

His diagnosis doesnt make too much sense knowing how the system works.

do I have to pull the whole thing out then? I looked behind it and didnt find anything.

Follow these instrustion from my website for removing the radio first.

Then remove the cables. You can see from this illustration how the controls work. You may just need a little lubrication on those gears.
