Default 99 sc2 sway bar bushing issue

99 sc2, currently going through and replacing bushings that are worn throughout the front and rear end. while removing the two bolts in each of the front swaybar mounts , one came out of each and the other two broke free and are free spinning, still connected to the what ever they go to inside the frame. pretty much completely encolsed and now i could cut the out but what should i do when i go to replace the mounts? the two bolts (one each side) will obvously not tighten in to nothing. any ideas would greatly help, i imagine thatthis has to happen now and then while replacing the moounts

When things like this happen, there is usually only one option:

1) Cut/drill the old hardware out, leaving a hole (which may have to be enlarged).
2) Fabricate a metal "filler washer" that will match the hole.
3) On the back of the "filler washer", weld a nut of the proper size for the hardware.
4) Install the "filler washer" and weld it to the frame. Make sure welds penetrate.
5) Smooth the welds, undercoat, and reinstall the swaybar and swaybar mounts.
