Default 99 SC2 Rough idle cold

New member here. I have had my SC2 for about 2 years. No problems until now. It is starting to get cold in the mornings here and after starting she will idle rough, but not every time. If I rev it a couple of times it evens out. Sometime almost stalls. I have gotten a check engine light a couple of times while it is warm. The code is for the EGR solenoid valve. The light will be out the next time I start it or will extinguish while I am driving. I have read a lot about the ECTS. Could this be my problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

try the plugs and wires and fuel filter, than check out the ects, if those dont fix it than the egr sol. is the culprit

As touchy/spooky as the original ECTS units were, I'd opt for a replacement as soon as you can afford it. Change the electrical connection pigtail at the same time, to make sure you get a really good connection

Check the connector first on the ECTS. I found out that mine was cracked and not making a proper connection. I may have replaced the sensor for no reason. The damned connector cost me $27.23 at the dealership and the sensor was only $19.24. BUT the sensor was made in China. WTF? Inside the little bag it came in was a slip of paper that clearly says MADE IN CHINA. I'm keeping the one I took out as it was a brass tipped one too. I hope to never need it, but at least I'll have a back up to try if I need to. Part # on the sensor is 21025106 and the pigtail is 12117087. Just in case you want to order one or the other.
