i sadly hit a deer with my 99 SC2 and would love to find a new light gold hood one day as mine is not repairable and i don't want to spend the funds to get a new one (i realize this is a long shot to find one within my area, which is Eastern Shore of VA, but you never know. I could travel easily go from Hampton Roads area to southern Deleware)

I would be satisfied if I found a hood. Any color. They can be painted. Yes I know that it is probably a hard thing to deal with. If you learn how to deal with it, then you are ahead of the game.
Dupli-color can be purchased in Spray cans. In fact, many automotive paint out lets will package paint ordered in spray cans now and you can order paint OEM color.
Is it as good as the OEM paint? Probably not but with care on your part you can spray can paint your replacement hood to match the color of your car. And it can be o.k., and maybe even good.
