98 saturn sc2 not moving when in gear
#1
i know a little bit about cars. i had a new OEM clutch put in about 3 weeks to a month ago.. normally you're supposed to put at least 1000 miles on it to work it in before pressing on it.. i havent driven it too fast, but have had fast shifts. tonite while coming back home, i was making a turn on a street and downshifted to 2nd gear, it shifted okay but right there and then after making that turn the car would not go. i had my foot on the clutch and in 1st gear while trying to rev it higher and see if it would move. The motor idles perfectly fine, the clutch seems okay (so i think) and the shifter seems to shift without any problems. however the car just doesnt go and it makes a really loud rattling sound sorta like using a lawn aerator on solid ground. i dont know what i did to cause that or if the guy who installed my clutch did a bad job, if its a bearing?
i have no clue at this point and it sucks cuz i have to wait til monday to take it to a shop just incase if its a big problem..
any help would be appreciated.
thanks!
