I have a 97 SC1 and I have either clutch or transmission problem and I need help. When I start my car up everything is fine until I push the clutch in to shift the gear. When I push in the clutch I hear a loud winding sound then when I go to push it into gear the car kind of Jump and shut off. If any one has ever had this problem before please contact me so I canfix this problem before I spend money on parts that I don''t need to purchase.

What you describe sounds like the clutch throwout bearing ...
