I have a 1997sc1coup . I had to repair the shifter cables while ago, now the clip that attached the cable to the transmission housing broke. The clip that I found did not fit right,so it only lasted one day. Does anybody know where to get the right one for my car.this car is not pretty,but it is in very good shape mechanically, other than this shifter problem.i hope i am going about this the right way,l have never used a forum before. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Thank you

 

Is this for a manual? or automatic? SOHC or DOHC Engine? This information may possible help.

I have an SL of the same year with an SOHC engine and a 5 speed manual. and according to my Haynes manual pretty much all the same mechanical gutz.

 

Says 97 sc1 5 speed in the title.

The fact that yours is more or less identical to his really doesn't help unless you're going to give him your clip.

Is that the plan? It'd be really nice of you.

 

that would be dope if i could. but this is my daily driver. I was wondering which clip they're talking about. (mostly for my own edification) and maybe i'd have luck finding one online. (never hurts to try)
