Yeah the high idle might be caused by a bad temp sensor. That is what mine was. the other things i have no clue. The temp sensor is only like $10.

Installed the ECTS sensor and the new connector - all seems better..

thanks for the help...

I bought the cam cover gasket and I will be installing it next weekend.


BTW, When I inspected the old connector and sensor, it didn''''t look like
there
was anything wrong with it.Edited by: maxsat

Forgot to mention the car usually idles now around 700-800k when sitting
still after it warms up.


~ Car still has a couple issues, I will start new post

well glad to hear that you got everything worked out. and that idle is normal incase you were wondering.

I had the same thing on my saturn with the oil in the spark plug hole. Nothing major. Just a quick fix.
