I'll let you know after I talk to my painter. I'll have to see if it will be less expensive for me to paint these or buy the correct color for my car.

Hi,

This might sound a little weird but would you have any junked manual transaxle for any year SL1s that you would consider getting rid of????

Thanks!!!

I do have a few transmissions for the SOHC. Are you looking for parts(you said "junked manual transaxle") or the whole transmission?

Well, what I really need is a housing and a primary shaft but I would take the whole transmission if you have it. How much do you usually ask for them???

Thanks!

Thanks Rick

Can't do that!!!! the rods are longer but the pin is higher in the piston and you'd get some interference problems with that setup ..... what you want to do is get a 99 and up short block with appropriate crank, rods and pistons and then just bolt on an early style head. Both early and late had 9.25:1 compression but early pistons are "deep dished" and the heads have "flat" valves. Late versions have a much shallower dish in the piston but the valve faces are concave. Late short block with early head would give you somewhere around 10:1 compression and you'll have to use the intake (late or early) that matches the car it's going in cause the fuel pressure regulators aren't plugged in the same.

Hope this helps!!!

I have a complete '97 and a complete '02- neither of which would be plug and play. Is the original engine burned up or destroyed?
