1996 SC2 Manual
I have a 96 SC2 that I'm willing to part with after 21 years (I'm the only owner). 143k miles. The sub frame has rotted out and it will no longer pass inspection.
Engine runs great, no accidents. Body panels in good shape. Extra parts included: drivers side headlight assembly, headlight motors for both sides, water pump.
Located in upstate NY.
PM if interested. Will consider any reasonable offer.
Regards,
NW

I have seen a few Upstate New York rigs out here in Oregon. Wow, I can't believe what you guys have to deal with all the salt and rust. I still drive my 68 Chevy pickup and my 84 GMC pickup. They are probably all gone back where you are. Maybe someone will come up from the south just to get the low mile engine from an original owner. Good luck with the sale!

Actually considering that it lasted 21 years is impressive considering what cars go through every winter up here. If I could justify repairing it I would. I was regularly getting 38 to 40 mpg. Better than most cars now days. It would be a shame to just scrap it.

It is a separate part in the S series too. While I do not think OEM ones are made any more you can still find them with a little work. About $450-$500 for the subframe. But, I do not have the ability to change it out myself. The estimated labor is $500+ not counting anything else they would have to replace after cutting bolts that haven't moved in 21 years. I'm better off putting the money towards a new car.
