Ziggy Stardust
Ziggy played for time,
Jiving us that we were Voodoo
The kids was just crass,
He was the naz
With G*d given ***
He took it all too far
But boy could he play guitar........
RIP Ziggy

I always find it interesting that, given the vintage of some of the regulars around here, there's never more chatter about such things or music of that era in general as the 60's and early 70's rocknrollers begin to pass.
While I recognize not all music is for everyone, I've always wondered what it would have been like to, for example, see a Ziggy Stardust concert, or Zep, or most of all, Jimi Hendrix.
I don't have any bootlegs but other than that I have pretty much everything from him that's ever been released publicly. It's a shame his sister is now in charge of making millions through licensing merchandise, and yes, the day has come, TV commercials.
It's a damn good thing he's not alive to see this.
I was born 20 years too late --- one generation behind.
I cannot change that, but I sample both backwards and forwards.
Bowie was a one time deal; Mick helped him reach the highs; incessantly creative.
