I have one of those (a mandolin, not a Mandee). Belonged to my grandfather. It's from the 1920's. All original Gibson Model A-1 I believe. Nice patina. Neck on that thing is still straight as an arrow after 94 years. They just don't build instruments like that anymore.

 

Everyone wishes they owned a Mandee but there is only 1 of me lol

I want a mandolin just because haha.

 

Do you play that thing, Derf? I've always loved the sound of them and a Gibson A-1 is a valuable piece of Gibson history.
