Finally I am having problems with the seat belts on the drivers side. It stopped operating last week and the part that fastens on to the moving piece has become a rather shabby looking gooky thing cause by the years of sitting in the heat. Does anyone have any knowledge of replacement parts for the seat belts?
The bottom line is the car remains being a reliable driver with about the only thing being of an issue is the defective seat belts. Oh there are a couple of other things not right either but the are livable. As a driver? There are a lot of miles left in the car and I need to put another coat of paint on it to get it looking really nice. Detroit has determined we do not need coupes any more and this being a coupe is beginning to make it more desirable. I am missing Valerie like mad but her car being in the driveway makes it a bit easier on me.

91-94 SaturnS-Series SL1 SL2 SC1 SC2 Seatbelt Temperary Latch Plate | eBay

SHOULDER BELT LATCH - GM (21047208)

BUY IT NOW or check your glove box.

ALL motorized seat belt track Saturns were delivered to the owners with one of these in the glovebox in case the seatbelt drive motor became inoperable. Got one when I bought my 92 SL2.

This pieces is shaped to firmly lock into either the seat belt motor track or the seatbelt motor itself (which would then need to be moved to its rearmost position.

This is meant to be a temporary fix but if it could not withstand a crash, GM would not be stupid enough to put it in the car. Or would they? Only the shadow knows.

Overwhelming opinion as to a solution is to swap in the entire seatbelt setup + associated trim from a 95 coupe and get on with life.....
