I am reading the information on the 2+ million car GM recall and reading it and the comments on it remind me of the Childrens story of Chicken Little getting whacked on the head by an acorn and the running through the streets hollering "the sky is falling" until he gathered a large following of equally qualified people shouting encouragement while asking what was going on.
Until of course he met the king and the king who rule within a position knowledge immediately used that knowledge to calm the masses by saying something like
"That's silly the little nerd just got whacked by an acorn!"
Except in this case he ran across the President and his band of merry man
who said to the affect.
"Dang how come I did not know that sooner! We need a committee to study this, after all it is only a handful out of almost 3 million and that data is flawed also."
