A neat little game...

So, I've had a little bit of a breakthrough with my openness to new music... I've been running a different line at work, in a different building, with a radio(what a step up!), but it doesn't pick up any familiar stations...
...and with that, new lyrics of a different genre are becoming stuck inside my head... Try not to judge too harshly...
"Bonestock-20"
Hey, baby, don't you bring them tears
'Cause it's too late, too late, babe, oh
You only love me when you're here
You're so two-faced, two-faced, babe, oh
You can buy me diamond earrings
And deny-ny-ny, ny-ny-ny, deny-ny
But I smell her on your collar so goodbye-bye-bye

dude you could've given me some warning like "be sure you haven't eaten in the last 15 min".
I almost lost my late night snack over that....that......bopity bopity bopity shayt.
I am all for remaining openminded to all genres of music, and not all of the newer stuff is awful...but that one is.
I also know what it's like to be trapped somewhere where it's either a recycled playlist of crappy stuff or silence. Then you hear the damn song 369 times and find yourself singing along, even though you didn't realize you knew the words and try to convince yourself it's really not that bad after all.
Actually, it is.

That's probably the funniest response I've ever seen... That particular song actually isn't played that terribly often(about three times a shift), the station mostly overplays Taylor Swift, the same crappy song too...
A few songs on that station have pretty cool musical aspects to them, for what they are...
That being said, I'm glad I could express the lyrics and get them out of my head...

Ugh, I actually had a moment like you described... I found myself singing along with a song that I knew I disliked... It was "Style" by Taylor Swift(I didn't bother posting lyrics, as it sucks that bad, IMO)... It seems they play a new song to death over the course of three weeks or so, then cycle to something else... Now, it's a song from the "fifty shades of grey" soundtrack... Thankfully, they haven't played it enough yet to kill its merit...
Anyway, these lyrics got stuck in my head on the way home in my car...
"Bonestock-21"
rolling down the road in my vee-eight Ford,
I had a shine on my boots, I had my sideburns low...
with my New York brim and my gold tooth display,
nobody gave me trouble, 'cause they know I got it made...
and, yes I've ad-lobbed at line before to be talking more directly about my Ranger(since it has a V6)

I figured I would bring this thread back again... I just can't get these lyrics out of my head, no matter how loudly I play it in the car, or how loudly I sing along...
"Bonestock-22"
You close your eyes
All well and good
I'll kick your ***
Like I said that I would
You tell them stories they'd rather believe
Use and confuse them
They're numb and naive
Truth is the truth hurts
Don't you agree?
It's harder to live
With the truth about you
Than to live with
The lies about me...
P.S. Thank you Derf for sending this one...

Weapons not food, not homes, not shoes
Not need, just feed the war cannibal animal
I walk tha corner to tha rubble that used to be a library
Line up to tha mind cemetery now
What we don't know keeps tha contracts alive an movin'
They don't gotta burn tha books they just remove 'em
While arms warehouses fill as quick as tha cells
Rally round tha family, pockets full of shells
SOLVED: Bulls On Parade, Rage Against the Machine
