Supposedly, lost control, nose-dived off a hill into a creek, and then fell over onto drivers side, hitting various signs/poles along the way... Had just rolled over 200k... I don't think he plans on fixing it...
The positives-
Cab is straight, other than small dents/dings, doors still work, the electrics still work, frame appears straight other than the horns, engine starts... Driveline undamaged... Interior is okay, and the tailgate is still fine and un-rusted...
Negatives-
Bed is wrecked, both fenders destroyed, core support trashed, radiator punctured, hood is buckled, grille is gone, lights are gone

It still held sentimental value to me, I hoped to buy it back off the man at some point... No chance now...

That brings back the memories of my '87 Ranger that had almost 350K on the chassis and only 105K on the 2.3L Grooms motor we had put in it. I was going home from work one night and a kid in a cavalier ran a red light and t-boned me. Truck was totaled. I was majorly pissed. I had to fight with State Farm to get even what could possibly be considered a reasonable settlement on the truck. Even at 20 years old, it ran like a top and got 29 mpg.
RIP, little red Ranger.

Eh, this one was far from running like a top, more like limping along... The carb desperately needed rebuilt, and the insanely rich fuel mixture was causing it to lose compression slowly... It ran alright when you were in the throttle, but under vacuum or at idle, it was rough... I actually planned on him killing the engine quickly, and me buying it back and swapping in a fire-breathing 2.3 and making it fast...
