Well, 2 days ago I got into an accident. unfortunately, the saturn gave itself for my well being. I walked away with a broken wrist and a little confused. the airbag gave me a good punch and left me searching for my glasses with a bloody nose. It lived a good life, and served me well enough, along with teaching me many things.
i got hit pretty hard, there was a crossing gaurd standing in the opposing lane, which i couldnt really see past him and he was alittle distracting. came to a stop and looked left,right, and back at the gaurd and past him alittle. never saw the other car. i was making a turn, not even doin 6 mph, the guy who i hit was doin 35-40 in a 25mph. spun me right around.

The motor is still good and it runs and still drives.
im parting it out, everything is for sale.
motor has 16k on it, clutch 16k, trans 82k.
if they are still good (cant inspect very well) i have the SDA dogbone mounts and tam mount. 35k on em
tires are brand new on 16" rims (6000 mi on em, general gmax's 205/55r16)
suspension (h&r sport springs with kyb kg2 struts, with painted knuckles with new hubs still atached (26k on assembly)
power windows, radio, ect. let me know if your interested. if you live near me you can come help me take it out and ill give ya a discount. cant do too much wrenching with one hand

Man, that sucks about your ride. Been there, done that! The main thing is that you're not critical and you'll be okay. Cars can be replaced, but family and friends can't.

 

This sucks donkey. Good your ok, to bad about the Saturn.

 

Brother, we hate loosing good S-Cars this way. Yours was one of the nice ones. Best part about it is you are ok. I have no idea what you'll find to replace her, but be sure to look over 2006-2007 IONS. Finding a 2.4 cpe or sedan would be cool.

 

Oh no........this is not good at all, sucks in fact. Glad you got out in fair shape. Do look around for an ION 2.4L....they should be going cheap cared to like rigs.

Sorry to hear she's gone. Glad to hear that you are ok. Tell ya what you'd be happy with any 06-07 ION, but the 2.4 is sweet. I put a set of slicks on mine and took it to the drag strip. She ran 15.4 and I'm not the best driver in the area.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. Haha I would go look for another but right now i still have my truck thankfully (although I cant drive it hahaha need 2 hands for manual) There will be another saturn in my life tho, in the near future. Maybe ill go find a redline or something hahaha.

Ill tell you guys one thing, these cars are tough. Took me alittle while to saw through the front unibody to get all the mangled mess outta the way.
