I agree with you 100%, Mandee. I don't "text talk" or speak ebonics or any of that other crap. I speak English as clearly and concisely as I was taught by my mother. She was an English major from a Catholic school on the West Coast. If we mispronounced a word when we were growing up, we got to say it and spell it over and over again until we got it right. I despise the crap that people throw out nowadays and have cut people off my Facebook contacts that didn't get the message when I stated what would happen if that crap continued. Their loss, not mine.

But yes. The slang does get annoying.
