Sorry Billy. My daughter neither drinks nor smokes. She thinks that people that do those things are losers. Not necessairly having a beer or two on occasion, but people that drink to excess on a regular basis. And anyone that smokes at all, is a chump in her book and she won't give a smoker the time of day. She says they stink and doesn't want to be around that smell.

good for her.
I think it's acceptable to binge drink once every couple of months just to blow off steam

I haven't got a problem with an occasional drink(or even an occasional drunk spell), but I grew up around several raging alcoholics, and watched some messed up stuff happen from the constant intoxication... As a result, I don't drink at all... I'm not likely to start...

understood. We all derive our personal outlooks/preferences. etc in large part based on what went on around us when we were kids.

Some follow in the same footsteps down the same paths; for some it triggers a 180 and flips the "NO" switch.

Everyone is entitled to make their own personal choices; anyone who doesn't respect that is missing the point --- of life

Yeah, seeing all the crap has certainly flipped a couple of my "NO switches"... Cars are my (debatably more expensive) anti-drug...

I've never liked to be around smokers as I had severe asthma and allergies as a child and my Dad was a pipe smoker. My uncle that lived next door was a cigar smoker and when the two of them got together, I had to go outside. And it gets pretty damned cold in Tennessee in the winter, believe it or not. I used to be a weekend drunk when I was in college and after I started my own business. I met my wife right after I turned 31 and stopped all the nonsense after that. Now, I still like a cold beer on occasion, but my kids have never seen me drunk, nor will they ever. I know my limitations and NEVER exceed them.

I have only been pass out drunk twice. I drink the occasional beer after work, or a beer or two with friends, where I am spending the night. Just enough to feel ok.

As for smoking, no comment. Besides I respect your opinions.

only twice?

We'll have to have some good tequila when I get down there.....NOT to get smashed -- to enjoy the flavor. Yes folks, good, slightly aged tequila has flavor to it and does not set your throat on fire. I'll drink a Hard Lemonade, Hard Cider, some wine with dinner and friends, but I'm a tequila guy at heart.

Only beer I can stand the taste of is Molson Canadian.

Goalie --- your lungs will fall off and your teeth will stain. Find another (legal) vice. You're young enough that your body can recover.

Please, please quit smoking... It's like installing oil injection on your IRL... Coats everything inside with thick black crud that just doesn't come out... This is like day two of the mod... Still time to un-do the damage... There is still time...
