Default Fun at 50

Ok, so in March I turned 50. Nothing but the usual aches/pains of life.

Found out that I have some bone loss and could have dental issues approaching during my last cleaning. Yay. This week, I had to have a molar extracted. The tooth itself wasn't the issue, but the pocket behind it was wanting to abscess. Not. Fun. At. All. So I made the decision to lose the tooth. Dentist only had to use the 'loosening tool' to remove it, so I guess I made the right choice. No issues with the vacancy so far!

Ongoing issue with weak rt knee continues to need support during activities like fast walking and dancing. The good is we actually have a great place to go dancing now, live band and all! If you like that kind of thing, check out your local Moose lodge, ours has country/southern rock bands on Saturday nights and an awesome dance floor. Two-stepping is good exercise

Just waiting for the other 50-something issues to arrive.

Don't be in a rush to do things, Ginny. I'll be 59 next month and each day is an effort with the arthritis and knee problem I have. To top it all off, I effed up my left foot when we were moving and it's not getting any better. I finally caved in and called a podiatrist as I jammed the big toe last night and the sum beech has been throbbing ever since. Ibuprofen and alcohol have NOT helped at all. I have an appointment next Tuesday at 1300 hours and can hardly wait. No dancing or country music for me. I'm a rock and roll lover and hate country music. I worked in the business back in 1980 and found out real quick that talent doesn't have a thing to do with the country music business, but I won't get into that. Anyway, enjoy being 50 because you won't ever be that young again!

The 4 years ive worked for my company, I always end up working open to close on my birthday.
I am right there with yuh on that. If only I felt it.
I guess I should have listened to my parents when they told me to take a break from hockey every time I broke/fractured/dislocated something.

Does this mean I have the right to call you old man since youre a few months older than me? XD
