I have not watched the news in weeks. I assume you are referring to a nasty tropical storm or hurricane. Take care, rube.

Thanks, Andy. Right now we're about 60 miles from the CURRENT projected landfall between Ft. Pierce and Melbourne. Soooo, we're getting stuff battened down, got the go bags ready and will high tail it out of here in the next 24-48 hours unless the path changes drastically. My biggest issue is that there's only ONE road in and out of here and being just a mile from the Kissimmee River, it floods. No way in and no way out! That and the fact that the power goes out around here on sunny days let alone during a hurricane. My wife and I both depend on CPAP machines for sleeping (and staying alive) so I don't think we'll be staying. I'm going to defer my car note and mortgage payment for a month so we can go stay in a hotel and have food. At least that's the plan. And if Rocket or ALLY don't want to play, then my payments to them will just start falling 30 days short. Our lives are worth more than a hit on an already ****ty credit report!

Well, after spending most of our monthly food budget by hauling *** out of the state and over to Mobile, AL, it appears that I wasted both my time and money. The ONLY upside is that my buddy across the street mowed my lawn while we were hiding out. I guess I'll go to a local food bank and see if they'll help me with some groceries for the month. Pretty damned embarrassing.
