2007 Chevy Cobalt similar to Saturn ION?

As far as pounds, they should be mid 50s with straw. They are around 75 with hay.

Which temp thermostat are you using for the replacement?
My nephew's (formerly my) 95 SC2 heats up wicked fast in traffic but the fan always catches it. It does not lose coolant so I am thinking the original 21 yr old thermostat might be stuck. (Any chance of that, you think?)

Yes, my dad's 94 SL1 had the thermostat stuck. Didn't have heat worth crap in the winter.

Got the AC Delco 180* thermostat from rock auto.

Thermostat fixed the issues with the Cobalt. The inner o ring was lodged between the valve and the seat of the t stat. Took about 10 min. And almost a gallon of 50/50 mix dexcool to top the coolant back off.
