Unhappy Saturnfans.com site down?

Hi,

Trying to get on the forums at www.saturnfans.com and not getting a response. Does anyone know if this site folded? Would be a shame as it was a rich source for information - tens of thousands of posts in its forums.

So you came to our quaint little forum which teems with knowledge you can't see -- to fret about another Saturn forum?

And now that it's okay, are you going to leave without asking a technical question?

Guys, I feel like a used shop towel thrown in the corner.

Here, we have 1 guy who absolutely knows what he's doing, 4o r 5 in various states of learnedness, and we respond to every post because that's the polite and neighborly thing to do.
Over there, you have to pray that OldNuc, BarnOwl, or one of the other 8 members who knows what they're talking about sees your post amidst the 1,000 that come in every day. AND they have to be in a good mood.

It's like the difference between homemade fried chicken and KFC.

So what's your question?

(I think we've just established a new member posting requirement....everyone has to ask a technical ?, even if expressed in nin technical terms)

I came to see if anyone knew that status of the other site. Wasn't intended as a slight to anyone here.

Have a good day.

That's one thing I don't like about texting and messaging or posting. People can't tell when your giving them a hard time for being silly or maybe a little rude and you're just trying to point it out. Or if you're joking someone can't see that you're smiling or hear the humor in your voice. I do like that it was pointed out hey man we're just messing with you feel free to stay but what do you prefer quality over quantity, I make better Fried Chicken than KFC any day. I worked at KFC as a teenager LOL . People can't take constructive criticism or realize that sometimes you're going to get messed with a little bit as a noob anywhere. But this was a good thread everyone was cool about it. Nice to kind of know some more info about saturnfans. Com. Kind of glad I did come here first even though they do have a thread directly related to my current issue.

They have over 15, 000 accounts. No idea how many are active.

I find it especially entertaining when three out of every five threads just stops with no resolution or solution. Not that that does not happen here, but I make it a point to politely chase people to tell us what the f happened so we know if our advice is on Target or not. We tried to put or keep every Saturn on the road that we can. Well I do anyway. Sure it is a similar thing for the rest of the regulars.

There are people on other forums that know a hundred times as much about s cars as I do. I prefer the small pond. A lot less BS to deal with

I registered at that site today and added to the thread I keep talkin about but the site is harder to use on my phone. But it looks like another good Saturn site with lots of info.
