Seeking info for buying Saturn

My wife just totaled her 2001 GP, and now we need to replace it. I was thinking about a Saturn, we used to have a 92 SL2 that we bought new and loved it. Drove the wheels off of it with minimal problems.
I was thinking about a used ION Quad (I like the door arrangement), with a manual trans. I want one that has low miles (under 15k), and has lots of options. I was hoping to get it for around $15,000. What options do you think I should be sure to get? I have seen a few red lines out there, but they seem to be out of my price range. I am an old time gearhead, but want a combination of performance and mileage - gas sure isn't going to get any cheaper.
