Post New to forums

What up! I'm new to the whole form thing, always checked them out over the years but never joined one till now. I hail from PA out side Philly. I have a 2004 Saturn iON 2 sedan L61 I4 2.2L (5 speed auto ). Bought her in 08 with 60k on the dash ( now with 160+k), she's my first car and while I used to hate her and wished I had like a teggy or a mk3 etc, I've grown to love my ride! over the past few years ive done some basic mods too her i.e.
-suede headliner
-LED (red)under the dash/behind the driver/passenger seat
-chrome lips on my steelies
- chrome lugs
- 12" kenwood sub in a custom built box
- pioneer amp
-pioneer front/back speakers
-sony headunit with ipod tray ( no cd's in my car all mp3)
-tucked my antenna in the body panel
-LED dome light, Led license plate light
-white front turn signals
-checkered emblems
- 35% tint front/20% back tint

Ya just did some minor things while I'm in college once im done I plan on parking her and doing a total rebuild (6or5 speed man tranz, 2010 ss engine or put in a v6,twin turbo or supercharger, etc), no one around my way gives props to the iONs, so I would like to make her almost a total sleeper and show up all these "ricers" and "haters" around my way.

Welcome to our forum. I never paid much attentions to ION'S till I met MrRjION in the neighborhood. Got him to join this site and he got a couple others from the hood to join up. One sold his ION and moved after walking away from his house. That's another story, so now there are three within eyesight on this forum. Back to IONS I have to say I'm glad I bought the one I did. It's been an outstanding ride so far. Not a single problem with it. It's a 2007 Quad Coupe 2.4L 5 speed manual. The car goes good and has a good amount of power.

I hope to see you stick around, it's good to have helpful members with a brain.

Ya I plan to kick it around this forum for a while. I have a good amount of knowledge about the iONs so I hope to be able to contribute to the other members (I've beat the heck out of my car when I first got it, I was 16 and in to racing what more can I say).
I love the QC, I'm a coupe person but most are not to roomy. The QC with the "1/2" back doors is just so practical! And the looks are so clean. The iON is a outstanding car! It's GM at it's best!! Very reliable and safe car. I hit a dodge charger who pulled out in front of me ( I was doing about 50-55mph) and I hit the diver side tire and destroyed his axle. His car was totaled and I needed a new headlight,bumper/grill. No structure damage at all.
How are the man trans?? Smooth shifting?

Welcome aboard, man. Sounds like you've got great plans for you car. More power to you, both literally and figuratively!
