Default Loving My New 96 SC1

Hello to my fellow Saturn Enthusiast!

I just got my SC1 late July of this year from a close friend of mine. It had been residing in a barn for the past few years and we needed a car and my friend was very gracious to us by saying if you can get it, it is yours. (We have two driving teens in the house, 4 people two cars, you get the picture.) At first I was not excited about it and neither were my teens, they wanted my civic over the SC1. Personally, I was ready for a very fast sports car that would feed my need for speed and that new car smell, but, life is not there yet. As we went to get the car, the more excited I became. I was having a blast as my son and I went through the car in preparation to drive it home 8 hours. The trip went flawlessly and I have slowly been providing the SC1 with the TLC it needs to get it back in shape. And that is what has brought me to the Saturn Enthusiast Forum. The more I drive and tinker on the car, the more I love it and I am thrilled to have it. (My kids also love driving the car and wish it was their car, but I tell them that this is my pony and you can ride it from time to time.)

I look forward to being a part of the forum!!

Andrew

Welcome to the Forum. Keep your tires inflated properly, and make sure you change the oil at regular intervals ...

Welcome to the forum. If it seems to be using oil, I'd just go to a heavier weight, like 10W-40.
