I am the original owner of a low mileage Saturn SL1 and it has been a good car these 18 yrs but I am having a problem with it now.

Welcome to the forum. I had a couple of S cars. Great, economical little cars. Too bad they sit too low for the wife to get in and out of comfortably. I wouldn't mind having another, if not for that.
