Default Hello, new owner here!

Hello, I just picked up a 1999 Saturn SL1, 5 speed manual, 106k miles from an auction. I haven’t gone through the car much yet, but it seems to run well. A/C blows warm, and definitely needs a good cleaning. It’s missing the radio volume ****, drivers seat adjustment lever and the panel to the left of the shifter where your lower right leg would rest. I’ll try a junk yard for those things I guess. I’m mechanically inclined and have anyways done my own maintenance and most repairs. Anything I should be looking for, or checking? I appreciate any help!

Welcome.

Monitor your oil level every other day for a month to determine if and how much oil it is burning. 5k oil changes w synthetic, 3k on dino oil.

Flush n change coolant and watch level
Flush the brake system w dot3 until it's clean.
The security systems on these cars can be problematic.
Use stock NGK copper plugs. Just do it.

Post in the s Series sedan section with anything that doesn't work right, including start n stall behavior.

Oh, check your oil.
