I'm Kay, my car, a 2007 Saturn Ion named Idara. I even had a contest to find her name. hahaha the most popular were Ionna and Ivanna but that to me sounded to much like "i own a ion" and "I want a ion" and my daughter said "i dare you to name the car that, i will make fun of you every day" and i said "i dare? hmmm, Idara. so I asked folks what they thought, and every one basically said "it fits" one person said "did you know theres a corvette by that name" and i said ...hey she sporty enough to compete. hahaha Moms on her 6th car all of which have been named "ol' betsy" and my daughter named her car Peachy Blu (dont ask me what it means), my son calls his car "t-dogg" (its a thunderbird) Maybe its a Cincinnati thing but i was just curious...how many others name thier cars.


My previous cars were all Fords...this time I decided to buy a car that will oh say MOVE without complaining on hills. but their names were:


Tealy...teal blue 85 tempo (a hoop-di and drove like one)


Bluey...Aqua blue 93 tempo (loved that car until it got crashed)


Connie...a red contour (had major engine problems all the time.)


Idara...the worlds greatest car...2007 Saturn Ion in chilli pepper red (only gets 25 mpg but i love this car)


Actually it may be more than a Cincy thing, friend of mine in Indiana if someone asks her for a ride she will say "it depends on how Shummy is feeling....someone gonna feed her?" in other words "who's got gas money for the car named Shummy" haha
