Not new to Saturn, had a '97 SL m/t, that was a great runner..40mph hi-way..

Now 10 yrs later recently got an '07 Ion 2 a/t w/ Premiere pkg & etc...OL drives it mostly. Really dig the Cypress Green, really looks like a Pearl flip/flop paint..Hope to have another Great Saturn experience..

I have my '98 SS-10 for my main ride besides the old HD

Welcome...........

I've never heard of a package for the ION-2 or 3 that was called the "Premiere pkg & etc..."

Thank U-
Well, I got that name off Saturn's option list.
Our ION-2 has a LOT of the lux features of a decently equipped ION-3 except for rims, sunroof, leather seats.
Maybe a couple other things, I'm not currently aware of..

It has power everything, Up-graded sounds, auto-on headlights..Cruise control, & more..

We checked out a different ION-2 & it had none of those items.
I'm just learning this new car, so you'd know better than me...

In 2007 the U.S. package was called

Preferred Package
it included

Power windows
Power mirrors
Cruise control
CD/AM/FM/MP3 stereo
Height adjustable drivers seat
Remote keyless entry w/alarm
Power trunk release

Some things you may not have gotten that were options on the ION-2

Front and rear side air bags
Rear spoiler
Alloy wheels 16inch
A/C
Floor mats
ABS brakes
Traction control
XM radio
Sunroof
On Star
Six disc AM/FM/CD/MP3
Advanced 160 watt audio and six speakers
Travel pacakge that includes
Auto dimming rear view mirror
Outside temperature reading
Compass
Dual map lights

Evan with all of that it still does not include some of the standard and optional items that one could get on the ION-3

All the ION's I've ordered for inventory I've never seen the option for auto-on/off headlamps for the ION 1 or 2 for all the years the ION was built.

What is a 1998 SS-10

1st)gmwarranty, thank you also for the welcome..

sw2cam- That's it, the 'Preferred Pkg'..My mistake.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
However "& etc" includes the following:
1) On-Star
2) A/C of course
3) Floor mats
4) auto-on/off headlights (It's there & works)
6)Six disc AM/FM/CD/MP3, 160 watt audio w/ six speakers

I think that's about it..But I'll check..Didn't really need any other options..Good price.
What we got is what we wanted..

A 1998 SS-10 was the last yr of Chevy's SS S-10 pickups.
for 1999 Chevy introduced the "Extreme" S-10.
But from 1994 - 1998 you could order an SS S-10
Mine of course, I have it heavily modified..

Our weekend fun-car is a '96 BMW Z-3 Roadster..
+ an Antique Flathead Harley, hand-shift & foot clutch

Thats what I thought.....I bought a new one in 1994, a S-10 SS dressed in black. Then dropped it, tinted it, hard covered it carpeted bedlined it, exhausted it, chipped it, wheeled it, tire'd it.

Well- IMHO that is better than 'no welcome'

It's all good...

Yea, that's cool..
I got my '98 SS-10 new as well..
Chevy gave me a hard time way back when it was still under warranty & had to go in for some warranty stuff.
1st)they told me my suspension was no longer under warranty. I had slammed it 'in da weeds' Bell-Tech spindles, springs, & etc.. Mainly to ease loading customer Bikes & hauling them..Plus looks much cooler too. Once loaded, I hit a button inside & aired up the rear..Plus I added an adapter to my on-board compressor & can air anyone's tires w/air hose I carry..
Also rimmed(American Racing's Nitro's) & tired it.Limo tinted (rear window) & the rest are just beyond legal tint limits.
Added some more power(inhale/exhale & chip), & much better tunes.
Drilled a pool table "cue-ball'for my shift ****. (actually that I originally made for my last S-10 an '85, that I sold w/237,000+ miles on it). I kept the shift ****(for good luck)..
Billet grill, fog-lights, clear corner lights. Lambo/style outside mirrors
3140 Stainless bed rails & tail-gate cap.
Rosewood dash & cab kit. White faced the dash guages
Sir Michael's Roll-Pan, & Viper Alarm & much more.

Yep '94-'98 were the only yrs for an SS S-10 p/up tk..
The 262" V6 was basically a small-block V8 minus 2 cylinders...Good motor..
