3rd times the charm...
#1
hey all.
just bought my 3rd saturn, this time a 1992 sc automatic. i had a 1992 sc manual, and a 1994 sc2 automatic previously, both looked better but ran horrible compared to the new ride. the new saturn has 137k, pretty much fully loaded except leather, and has almost no issues except a leaking radiator. i purchased it as a great daily beater (i have a 1998 jetta vr6 and 1994 integra as well), and so far, has been doing alright by me.
it's been 5 years since i've owned a saturn, and back then there was nothing out for mods...unfortunately, looks to be the same this time around. i'm not looking to go entirely crazy with it, just basic bolt-ons such as a cold-air intake, cat-back exhaust...stuff to give it a bit more spring in its step. i paid but $550 for it, so i don't want to go too far into it. my main focus is enjoying it for what it is while being able to shove 1200 miles a week on it.
i'll probably be catching up on maintenance the next few weeks with it (tuneup/atf service/replace the radiator), after that, it's time to have fun. i know these cars well enough to diy anything that goes wrong with it, but i hope i won't be doing too much of that except for fun stuff once i get the car caught up on its maintenance.
