Of all the short-ram or cold air intakes I've put on .... I've never seen a gain or loss in mpg.

The funny thing is ... my 1993 SW2 5speed did over 39mpg on a number of trips and I didn't evan have a cold or short-ram intake on that Saturn. It's not uncommon for a properly maintained twincam S-Car to get 35 plus miles to the gallon on the road.

All of my S-CARS were DOHC and all of the 5 speeds got over 35mpg on the road. My two automatic DOHC S-CARS got up to 34 on the hiway.
