I'm now waiting on some parts a manifold gasket to be excact, but my question is that after fixing this intake problem will I need to run a higher octane gas to clean the engine out?
Also I have a rattle in the front end of my engine I was wondering if it could be my harmonic balancer? it rattles then settles as I excel. What are the possibilities?

1) No you shouldnt have to run higher octane gas. 2. could be your TAM. check for cracks.
