I'm looking to put a Cold Air Intake in my 2000 SL2 DOHC (Auto). I looked online for intakes and most of them only go to 1999 but nothing for a 2000. Anyone know a site that sells these or how I can fabricate my own and the best way to do it in this car?

they dont make one for your car(being that its automatic). You would need to A force a 5spd CAI in your car, or modify an eclipse one. I have a CAI on my car now and i own a 2001 SC2

 

Yeah I realized since I have an auto it's not going to work. I may put a Short Ram in there. It replaces right where the stock intake is now which isn't bad for Saturns. It's far enough up and it sucks in air from the front bumper/fender so it should do nicely for cold air.

 

use the mitsubishi eclipse one, it will work. Ill get you the specs on it, ill post them tomorrow.

 

How much modding are we talking about with the Eclipse one? And just out of curiosity, why does a Mitsubishi CAI work on a 2000 Saturn SL2 with an auto tranny?

 

it has to do with the bends...and i messed up it will fit first and second gens not the 3rd gens. But i have a wai for sale if you want it. pics are on my page for the 01 sc2. (i dont know much about it, but that was on there when i purchased the car)

no my Warm Air (short ram) will fit. It was on my 2001 saturn sc2...ill post the pic.
