Hi All,

Im new to the boards, and have a questions...

I have a 2001 SL1 with the 1.9l engine,

I put a cold air intake on it and i love my car again.

however, with toys we have issues, i have a P0113 code error, lighting my service engine light. I know that with the new intake more air will flow making the sensor flip out..

How do i fix this, without reinstalling the factory intake?

Second.. i now hear things that i haven't heard before... i now hear that wonderful "throaty" sound when i hit the gas.. but i also hear a ticking sound that sounds like lifters.. however I dont hear anything at idle and nothing under heavy load... just during midrange load.

Any Ideas Guys? Im pretty good with big engines... but this is my first try with a small car(tuner project).

Actually you should'nt of got any code with the new intake. Check to make sure the IAT is plugged in or if the sensor and/or the connector was damaged during removal of the factory intake or installation of the new one.

Thank you sir,

I did have to make the sensor wire longer to reach the grommet.

Do you think that had something to do with it?

thanks again
