Snapped a wheel stud after thorough cleaning of wheel off car
Yes my torch just does not do that.
Thank you period will try the rotation technique later tonight. Oops almost left to drop off my ballot without my ballot. That would have sucked

Well I am one for two. Beat the crap out of the caliper mounting brackets and got both about 90° up and away from rotor. Because the arthritis I think they are actually tightening the bolt that is stuck.
Anyway, I then tried to use a stud remover that I bought 10 years ago with the little springy pins in it period to my amazement it actually gripped. It's not rated for impact use so I immediately hooked it up to my impact gun with a contraption of extensions and u-joints. I recently purchased the heavy duty battery powered DeWalt impact gun. The nice thing about it is that it has three torque ranges but in addition to that it is speed sensitive with regards to the trigger . I put it on the lowest setting and was able to time the impacts when I was sure that the socket was wedged over the messed up bolt head. I actually had to hammer on my swivel socket. Brand new. Try doing it with an extension but couldn't get it on straight. That worked for one side. Tried the same sequence for the remaining side. I thought the head had twisted off when I used the extractor but actually the extractor flew off. The bolt head is just rounded. No such luck. I'm assuming I'm going to have to hammer some size of six-sided socket preferably a swivel to get this MF off. My set only goes down to 10 mm which is the size of the bolt head. Well, it was anyway. I will sacrifice whatever I need to over that bolt to get it out . The question is what? More technologically advanced stud remover? Wear it down then Hammer a different size impact socket on it? Multiple torches at once?
And yes I soaked it a whole bunch more in blaster. In theory it might have actually helped.
I've also tried semi-pounding on the hub near the bolt but logic tells me that is not necessarily a good idea. I suppose it's worth a try.
The car still has not been inspected so I need to get this cleared up, change the brakes etc and get this inspected so I can drive it.
All ideas welcome. Sucks to not have a lift, the right tools, or a big enough torch. I keep forgetting to put my bandana on and end up with 336 rust flakes in my hair
