Default saturn wont start

I have an SL1 2001 saturn I drove my car today and it was fine I came home for an hour and when I went to leave agin it wouldn't start, the battery is fine, I checked all the fluids it all seems to be fine. It just had a tune-up a month ago. When I try to turn it on it won't even try to turnover, the lights work, along with the radio, ac. It is a manual transmission I need suggestions it is also reading the codes p1404 and p0301.

Suspect battery or battery cable corrosion.
Get battery checked and check positive cable for acid corrosion.
You don't get any warning on S cars when the battery loses a cell.
You just get silence.

As for your codes -- did these exist before the no start condition?

P1404 is an EGR code:

P0301 is a cylinder 1 misfire --check wire for tightness and plug for fouling (for starters)

How does it idle and how much oil does it burn?

Single Cam as in a SL1 you may, and most likely have a leaking intake manafold gasket where it bolts to the head. COMMON
