When installing aftermarket or other OEM rim you need to aware of the offset and back spacing. too much positive and the rims hit the suspension, too much positive and they hit the fenders and decrease your turning radius. To much negative offset can also lead to high speed vibration as you have moved the mass away from the original axis point.

A note about other OEM rims. As you know, other makes of cars have the same bolt pattern as your. A high percentage will fit over the center hub of the axle. The biggest exception to that is Honda. For years their center hub diameter is smaller than most causing the rim not to seat onto the hub causing all kinds of issues.

The majority of OEM and aftermarket rims are a 60 degree conical seat for the lug nuts. Honda, again for many years, had a ball (radius) seat lug nut that is only for matching honda rims.

Just some food for thought. And don't even get me started on wheel spacers...

Wow! Nice post! Some great info there... I didn't know Honda lugs were different... Guess I've never had one to find out...

Indeed useful "real world" description of how your wheel choices affect the driveability of the car.

I've had stock rims on everything I've ever driven, but to me,if you have to use a wheel spacer to get the wheel to fit/seat/align properly, then the wheel doesn't belong on the car
