Radio not turning off

I have a 2003 ION and the radio won't turn after turning off the engine. I disconnected the battery, hoping something would reset. Anybody have any ideas?

Everything on the car is stock. I bought this car new & never had any problems until now.

Are you saying that the radio won't turn off when you remove the key from the ignition?

Correct. With the key out of the ignition, the radio is still on. Even when I turn off the radio, the light isstill on where the time display is.

I found the problem. I had a flashlight charging on the back reciever & it must have been too much, which left the radio on. My phone & other chargable items are ok to charge, with no damage.
