Default New car, few problems

Hey guys, i just bought a 2002 SC-1, really great shape but with a few problems. The main problem I figured out is that it needs a new intake gasket, it idles high and has a misfire on just #1 cylinder. I will start working on that tomorrow. 2nd problem I noticed is that that when I pop the trunk there is a small little area with water on the left side. I read somewhere that these cars tend to have both these two problems. Is there anything i should look out for while replacing the intake gasket? Anything i should replace in the trunk?

Thanks and sorry for the long post

Abe

SC1 SOHC ............ Could very well be an intake leak. Matter of a fact sounds to me that you do have an intake leak. Common problem with the SOHC.

Check the rubber seal along the top of the trunk lid. It can get pushed loose from loading/unloading, and get cut when the lid is closed again....

Nothing really to look out for. Do a leak test before you start rippings things apart. You don't want to do the work for nothing.
