not to get off topic but didn't someone just post that joey at sixthsphere is being less than honest on his transactions? Not saying one way or the other but thought I'd refresh on the issue....

im confuzzled.
back to what i was gonna say : maybe go look for the homecoming edition gauges if you want nice looking ones, they're off white faced and nice, Found mine on ebay for like $50. When you do change your gauges, write your actual mileage down on the door sticker before you take the cluster out, since these cars store the mileage in the gauge set, not computer. |

Kinda figured. What's the difference between the 3rd gen cluster and a 2nd gen cluster?

My 2nd gen has a digital odometer though.

hmmmm.. id have to see a pic of a 2ndGen, then i could tell you the difference.

To tell the truth I have no idea what a 2nd and 3rd generation Saturn is. I do know however my 94 which as all analog gauges on the dashboard, the drive to them is digital. The conversion from a digital drive to an analog display is done on the dashboard itself.
While I have no way to prove this but if some one told me that the plugs all interchanged between my year and a newer one on the instrument panel than I would also pretty much have a tendency to believe the circuitry driving it would not have been changed as that would not have been really to cost effective for a model change and moving dash boards around between years probably would work. My guess is if they fit? They will work. As the conversions are done on the instrument panel. |

my 2nd gen coupe 97 has analog odo.
I thought (for coupes anyway) 1st gen = 91-96 2nd gen = 97-99 3rd gen = 00-02 S sedans ...don't remember when they redesigned them -- thinkin 96 yes? |
