i think he changed plugs and wires and is praying the problem goes away.
We never found out if the engine is actually overheating or if something electronic is heating up and cutting off the ignition system.

The world may never know.

I think he changed the wires, the plugs, cleaned the coils connections and or the outside of the coils. He ran the car and the problem went away.
