Alright I bought my saturn about 6 months ago with 122k on it. Its the aquamarine SC SOHC and its had this strange problem with the door locks. I''ve asked countless people about it but apparently none of them know Saturns. When I lock the doors, they lock fine, and will continue to work perfectly for a few days then I''ll go to unlock them and they continue to click, or more like an electric roaring sound. To get it to stop I have to take the fuse out and wait a few days, put it back in, and they will work fine for a few days/weeks and then it does the same thing. Anyone had this problem before???? Maybe voltage regulator in the alternator????? Please help if you can

?? A roaring sound ??

What year of Saturn do you have? Also, which fuse (specifically) are you removing to make the system quiet down ??

Its a 93. I''m taking out the door lock fuse in the passenger side floor board. Yeah its kinda like the door locks are still trying to click but the doors are already unlocked

Possible causes -

1) Doorlock module (RKE) defective. 2) One of the door lock switches internally broken (shorted). 3) Unlock relay sticking in the energized position ...

Make sure the key cylinder on the drivers side door is in a totally vertical positon when you remove the key. A few degrees to the left or right will cause this type of inssue at the cylinder gets used over time.

You can also remove the outer door panel and unplug the electrical connector on the lock cylinder. You''ll still be able to mechanically unlock the drivers side door from the drivers side. You jst wont be able to electrically unlock both door from the drivers side using the key.

It will eventually drain your battery too if not fixed. That can be really annoying..
