Hey Derf, I'd check the caliper for sticking and see if the guide pins are worn on that rotor that's scraping. Make sure the brake hose isn't collapsing too. Sounds more like something is sticking to me rather than the pads are causing your rotor to warp.

 

I have on occasion actually purchase defective rotors.
